Company Background...
Earth Design Contracting Limited has been in business since 1996.
Coming from a building background, we found the move to landscaping quite a natural progression and one which suited us well both in terms of creativity and freedom of expression.
Having worked mainly in Wellington and Wanganui (where we live) we have had a huge variety of different sites to work on. Wellington is certainly more challenging and the difficult sites quite often produce the best jobs especially in terms of creative and workable solutions for problem areas, which is our specialty.
We have been working quite extensively over the past year or so implementing landscape designs created by Rebecca Wilson of Earthwork Landscape Architects in Wellington. Her designs are great and they really suit us because of their ‘naturalness' both in design and materials used.
Wanganui has provided a different challenge. As well as residential landscape jobs Wanganui has given us the opportunity to develop rural lifestyle blocks including shelter belt planting, wet land areas and ponds, planting out areas into native bush, rural fencing, cattleyards, farm sheds, earthworks and much more besides.
Experienced Landscapers
We have much experience in decking, fencing, retaining walls, pergolas (timber as well as block), brickwork and paving, concrete work, preparation and laying of instant and seeded lawns, installation of irrigation systems, drainage, tiling, preparation of garden beds, mulching and planting.
We also have 6 and 2.2 ton excavators, which are great for speedy and efficient site preparation.
