The nursery was started 16 years ago by Andrew Baker, supplying Landscapers and local retailers with a good range of plants and now include nurseries nationwide and major retail chains as well as Plant Brokers from across New Zealand. Today Bakerboys is a thriving business that offers a wide range of plants that include grasses to trees - from natives, ornamentals, palms and cycads.

Contract Growing

We offer contract growing to developers, designers, landscapers and retailers and or large property owners who require large quantities and or large grade units and are unable to source the plants at all or at time of requirement.

With planning, a planting schedule can be grown to meet height and or spread requirements and be delivered to site at a specified time of the year. This guarantees supply and also covers a designing aspect as well as sourcing the plants which can prove to be difficult. We particularly do a lot of natives through contract growing and are currently taking orders at present. We have an area allocated for contract growing and invite anyone interested to talk to us about doing what we simply do best, growing.
