NARROW SPACE TO FUNCTIONAL ENTERTAINMENT AREA
LATEST NEWS
In June I returned to Melbourne and this time visited Australia Gardens. This garden is part of the botanical gardens but 45 minutes by car and an hour by train out of Melbourne. The garden only has native Australian plants in it and covers many acres. Stage 2 is under construction at the moment. The plants and how they are displayed is amazing. For me as a person with a love of plants and a designer I was in my element due to the fact that although the garden is a collection of plants, that it has also been designed. We where there on a Saturday and had the whole place to ourselves (the weather was that bad, cold and windy)but would recommend a visit to anybody who has a love of plants.
On Sunday's program was a trip to the Melbourne zoo. Not gardens but we had to see Mia the zoo's baby elephant. We could have stayed there all day watching her play, but were on another gardening mission. This time to the Botanical Gardens in town to see a revamp and modern take of Guilfoyles Volcano Garden which was originally constructed in the 1870's and completed in 1876. This modern version of the garden was only completed two months before our visit, but is already amazing and will only get better with time. Another visit definitely worth making.
Home again and busy doing istallations and maintenance between the rain. We are starting to do a lot of design work again for clients wishing to get everything organised over the winter for a spring installations.
Now your garden is probably looking at its worst. This is a great time to take a good look and if required call in a professional. It maybe as simple as some advise with about new plantings or a good overhaul. The kids may have grown up and the old child friendly family garden is no longer required and areas for entertaining and relaxation may be what is required now or the opposite. Safe play areas for children can be accommodated into even the smallest of sections without your whole backyard looking like the local kindy. All it takes is good design.
At Fusion Landscape Design we believe strongly that the only way to deliver the perfect garden for each of our clients is to listen.
"Fusion" as defined in the dictionary – a union of things, as if melted together.
We set out to produce gardens that incorporate our client's wants, personality and style, along with all of their practical needs. This is achieved through a combination of creativity, style, flare and innovation. To create an environment that surpasses our client's expectations in both the visual, practical and holistic sense is our goal.
Creating productive, edible and asthetically pleasing areas within residential properties is just one of our areas of expertise. Let us show you how very small areas can produce for your table, still look great and not be high maintenance.
As we are a stand alone design company we bring together for you all of the options available from design through to planting. Providing professional advice on the best options for our clients from contractors and product options, through to plants, which we procure from nurseries all over the country. By not relying only on in-house services or being affiliated to any other company we provide many more options to our clients. We are not restricted or constrained when producing designs and presenting ideas and options.
You can feel confident that you are dealing with a professionally set up company. We have General Liability, Professional Indemnity, and Statutory Insurance covers. None of which have ever been used, but are there to protect and provide assurance for our clients.
